About
Mr. Wallshein has decades experience in foreclosure defense, real estate litigation, bankruptcy, and mortgage-backed securities (MBS) litigation. With a background in finance and over two decades in legal practice, he represents residential and commercial property owners in complex foreclosure matters, leveraging his deep understanding of financial markets and lending practices.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Wallshein traded stock index futures on the New York Stock Exchange, giving him firsthand knowledge of financial systems, market structures, and the securitization processes that later shaped the modern foreclosure landscape. After earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, he concentrated his practice on real estate transactions and litigation, assisting clients with property disputes, financing, and development. In 1998, his practice expanded to include advising developers on securing construction financing and permanent lending solutions for large-scale projects.
As the Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) boom unfolded, followed by the foreclosure crisis, Mr. Wallshein recognized the critical role attorneys play in identifying securitization flaws and improper foreclosure practices. His finance background allowed him to analyze complex lending structures and uncover documentary deficiencies that impact foreclosure proceedings. He has since dedicated his practice to challenging wrongful foreclosures and advocating on behalf of clients facing foreclosure-related legal challenges.
Mr. Wallshein has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, providing strategic legal counsel in foreclosure defense, bankruptcy litigation, and real estate disputes. He has written extensively on mortgage-backed securities, foreclosure litigation strategies, and financial regulatory compliance.
Before joining Anderson, Bowman, Wallshien PLLC, Mr. Wallshein managed his own law firm, focusing on consumer protection and foreclosure defense, and is known for his advocacy on behalf of homeowners and businesses facing financial distress.
